Finding comfort in gratitude and mindfulness during the lockdown

After being diagnosed with ADHD, my world fell apart and I started to look for ways to improve and reduce the symptoms. Then I found the benefits of gratitude and contentment on what is during the present moment. I have been lucky enough to avoid Corona Virus, have a beautiful home with a garden and a loving partner.

When we look at what we’ve got, there is so much to be grateful for. Comparing ourselves to others is a sure way to make ourselves depressed. Who is the judge? What’s wrong in this present moment, right here, right now?

Mindfulness has provided me with a mirror to see the wonders of life and the positive aspects of my character. However, it has not all been rosy, and I’ve also started to see the toxicity that I have generated in my relationships. Therefore, I’m doing the Taking Charge and Celebrating ADHD course to remove all toxicity within all relationships, including the one with myself and my intimate partner. I am so grateful for his support and love throughout this turbulent period in my life and I’m committed to reaching this intention by the end of the course.

The great thing about the lockdown is that I now have time to focus on what’s really important in my life.

Can you relate to this? Would you like to improve your relationships? The ADHD effect is real and it’s the elephant in the room, hence why this is one of the modules covered on the group coaching course.
